Sopore, 26 Monday : A peaceful protest was held by 5th Semester students of Govt Degree College Boys Sopore in North Kashmir’s town of Baramulla district demanding online exams & reduction in syllabus.
Reports reaching said, a peaceful protest was held in northern Sopore town of Baramulla district by 5th Semester UG students of Govt Degree College Boys Sopore demanding online exams & 50% reduction in syllabus.
Students while talking with the correspondent said, University is playing with our future as we haven’t studied anything due to pandemic & lack of internet services.
Aroosha Farooq, Medical student said, KU is playing with our career how come it is possible for us to sit in exam center when we even don’t have attended a single class.
“There is a lot of difference between online & offline exams. Amid Covid19 pandemic & frequent internet shutdowns, we hardly managed to complete on an average 40% percent of the syllabus.
Similarly Farhan Parvaiz, a non-med students said, We have not attended any class, We are demanding syllabus reduction for the scheduled semester examination or change the mode of examination to online.
Despite repeated attempts controller Kashmir University didn’t receive calls from this correspondent.
